Black Friday Remains Top Day for New Shopping App Installs

One annual event has been the top day for consumers to install a new shopping app for over a decade - Black Friday. According to analysis by Airship of over 60 million new shopping app installs between Oct 1 - Nov 27, 2023 (Cyber Monday):

  • Black Friday saw double the daily average install rate compared to October

  • 6 of the top 7 peak install days were Nov 19-25, more tightly grouped than prior years

  • This peak week saw 40% more installs than the weekly October average
